Privacy policy
Effective date: 5 October 2026
This policy describes Bible Journey’s mobile reader, public website and support correspondence. Bible Journey is provided by Nabil Wahba. The content editor is a separate administrator service.
Reading without an account
You do not need a reader account. The reader does not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, camera or microphone access. The current app has no advertising or analytics SDK and does not build an advertising profile or sell personal information.
Content and searches on your device
The mobile app includes Bible texts, explanations and maps. It stores downloaded published explanations in its application storage so they remain available offline. The current reader processes searches locally against its included data; it does not send your search phrases or a reading-history list to our server.
Connections and hosting logs
The mobile app contacts parishnet.org over HTTPS to obtain published content. Visiting the website requests its pages, scripts, images and Bible passages. These requests necessarily expose network information such as your IP address to the hosting service. Hosting and security systems may record the requested path, time, browser or device information, response status and IP address to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service. Website requests for individual Bible files may reveal which book was requested. These logs are not used by the app to create a personal reading profile.
Reading aloud
The mobile app passes displayed text to the device’s text-to-speech service. It does not record your voice or request microphone access. The website uses the browser’s speech service. Depending on the selected voice and provider, speech synthesis or voice downloads may use network services. Those providers’ privacy terms apply; we cannot promise that every device or browser voice operates entirely offline.
Support email
If you contact us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request, investigate reported problems and manage the resulting correspondence. Please avoid unnecessary sensitive information. Email and hosting providers process information needed to deliver these services.
Storage and deletion
Downloaded app content remains on your device until replaced or removed. Deleting the app removes its application storage from the device; operating-system backups may have their own retention settings. Support correspondence is retained while needed to address the request and related administrative or legal obligations. Hosting-log retention follows the hosting provider’s configuration and security requirements; contact us for details. You may request access, correction or deletion of information you provided by emailing the address below. Some information may need to be retained for security or legal reasons, which we will explain when applicable.
Administrator service
The separate content editor uses administrator authentication and a session cookie to protect editing. This is not a reader account and is not required to use Bible Journey. Administrator access may also appear in hosting and security logs.
External links and device services
Sources and other external links open third-party services with their own privacy policies. Your device platform, app store, email provider and speech provider may separately process information under their policies. Bible Journey does not include cross-app advertising tracking.
Security and changes
Published-content updates use HTTPS. We use access controls for the content editor and take reasonable steps to protect support correspondence. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated effective date.
